LARAAJI is a visionary musician, composer, and mystic who has enchanted audiences worldwide with his ethereal and transformative performances.
Born Edward Larry Gordon and educated in music theory and composition at Howard University, LARAAJI emerged as a pioneering figure in ambient and new age music after a chance encounter with producer Brian Eno in the 70s.
With a unique blend of celestial sounds, he has been hailed as a master of the hammered dulcimer and zither. LARAAJI’s music transcends conventional boundaries, seamlessly merging ambient textures with cosmic vibrations, creating an immersive and deeply introspective sonic journey.

Lisa Bella Donna is an internationally acclaimed recording artist, composer, modular synthesist, sound designer, educator, and clinician. She has decades of experience as a multi-instrumentalist session musician, educator, as well as developing extensive techniques with musique concreté, modular synthesis, analog recording & mixing techniques, microtonal music, orchestration & film composition. Lisa has traveled all throughout the USA, Japan & Europe performing concerts and conducting workshops and clinics. She has been commissioned for many multichannel audio art installations in the USA and Europe.
Lisa can be seen often representing and showcasing the modern instruments of Moog music Inc. She has many videos of her awe-inspiring performances with Moog Synthesizers on the Moog Music Youtube page. Lisa also works closely with Moog Music Inc. composing a wide variety of patch-books for their semi-modular “Ecosystem” as well as the deeply exploratory multi-timbral patches you will pull up on the Moog One 16 Voice Polyphonic synthesizer. Lisa has 2 full length releases only available on the Moog Music Bandcamp that feature the Moog One Synthesizer. “Transformers” & “Explorations With The Moog One Electronic Music Synthesizer Vol. 2” These recordings give truly inspiring examples of the Moog One’s infinite sonically musical possibilities. Also, Lisa’s 2XLP album “Afternoon Dreams” was the very first album released that features compositions performed solely on the Moog Matriarch. Lisa is a proud ambassador & educator of Moog Music and all of the artistry that goes into making their instruments.
Recently she conducted her own electronic music workshops at Berklee School of Music in Boston, Superbooth Berlin, Synthplex in Los Angeles, The Music District in Colorado, EMEAPP, and Western Carolina University Electronic music programs. In 2020 She was included in the AES Convention on “Women in Modular Synthesis” with Suzanne Ciani, Caterina Barbieri, & Jennifer Hruska. Lisa was a special guest on Tim Heidecker’s “Office Hours” program, where she talked about synthesis and conducted a performance. Lisa was the headlining performer for Moogmentum, the grand opening of The Bob Moog Foundation’s “Moogseum, Synthesizing Innovation, Music, and Creativity”. Along with Patrick Moraz, Herb Deutsch, and Larry Fast. The event was created and curated by Michelle Moog-Koussa to honor her father, Bob Moog’s amazing legacy and the launch of the Moogseum in Asheville, North Carolina. Lisa conducted a daytime workshop/clinic on Moog synthesizers and signal processors. Lisa concluded the event with an electrifying, 90 minute concert at Asheville Music Hall. Lisa is featured in the Alex Ball Movie: Electromotive:The Story of ARP Instruments
Lisa was featured on Bandcamps Daily Feature where they go through highlights Lisa’s sprawling discography. During the week of it’s release, “The World She Wanted” reached no.1 in Electronic vinyl LP sales on Bandcamp. The release was also featured in Norman Records (UK) “Best Sellers” Along with Can, Portishead, Nick Cave, and Laurie Anderson
Lisa continues to inspire synthesists across the world every day from her recording studio in the Appalachian Mountains.

April 17 - May 4, 2024 LEAF2024 Lafayette Electronic Arts Festival!
During the course of LEAF 2024, from April 17 through May 4 there will be 6 different locations for ‘pop-up’ media exhibitions:
1. Video Cube featuring a large-scale eye-catching standalone structure
2. Two locations for exterior projections onto a building
3. Three locations for window projections from the interior of a building
The video and animations are bright, colorful, family friendly and visually engaging. Each location will feature different content curated in partnership with Denver Digerati, Kaleidoscope, and Deep Space Drive In. The locations are spread along the Old Town Lafayette corridor from West Baseline Ave., to the South end of Public Rd., with additional locations on East Simpson St.
On May 4 there will be a special event held at Odd13 Brewing with hands-on projection mapping and VJ tutorials provided by Deep Space Drive In on the Lafayette Community Theater across the street.

Hurtling into the void. Remnants of a child who once believed in possibilities. Make way for the ‘new’ way, but it's always the same way.

Tired of the script and our world's strict adherence to it. Recognizing the fire only after it's consumed, leaving us all looking for a home, HURTling.
•
Over the last 5 months of isolation, went from preparing my mother for a fresh start after all this, to making her last days as joyful and comfortable as possible. She spent her life battling mental illness and overcoming abuse with very little recognition. Excited finally about the next chapter of her life, she was told it was over. She deserved so much better.
•
Selfishly thankful for the time, to bring our family together and care for the one who cared for us thanklessly and selflessly.

“Listen” brings discovery and intrigue to McNichols Civic Center Building website through a virtual experience. Originally designed as a classic telephone booth transformed into a listening station, participants can listen to authentic stories recorded from often voiceless and invisible members of our community.
The first series of stories is told by men who spent 20 + years in prison. The men shared intimate and brutally honest stories about their childhoods, crimes, surviving prison and attempting to create ‘normal’ lives after their return to society.
As a sociologist and ex-counselor, creator Maureen Hearty has heard many stories of perseverance and defeat. These stories taught her that all people are worthy of respect, and capable of insightful life philosophies that teach us about empathy and gratitude, no matter who they are and what they’ve done. She aimed to bring these unseen people and their unheard stories, that are full of perspective-bending experiences, into the common realm of the people’s history, to encourage empathy for others while enlightening our own self-awareness.

Stop by and visit the Hypnotic Turtle DreamBox, a tiny house of magic and art hidden in the suburbs of Broomfield, Colorado
The Hypnotic Turtle DreamBox is a “little lending library” that has been transformed into an unexpected art experience. Colorado Creative and Broomfield resident, Arlo White, opened the exhibit last summer in the hopes of fostering imagination through creativity, inspiring a sense of wonder, and engaging with community.
Arlo’s current DreamBox, "Science Fiction," pays homage to the sci-fi book and magazine covers of the ‘50s and ‘60s. He draws inspiration from rock n’ roll and pop culture and combines painting, mixed media, and “found objects” to create otherworldly pieces that are experiments in dimension, texture, and color.
Visitors can walk up and peer inside or drive by and see it from the street. Tune in via car radio to hear the eerie sounds coming from the DreamBox.

The evening will be a chance to enjoy the modern classics from each artist's long history as well as some new music they have created for the occasion (and certainly cover songs beloved to them repurposed and retooled for this tour). This is the first time Mercury Rev's music has been performed in many parts of America for nearly a decade.
